Steve Sargent

Principal Chair

Steve Sargent is the Principal Chair of C12 South Florida, bringing more than 20 years of experience in entrepreneurship, executive leadership and organizational development to his work with Christian business owners and CEOs.

Prior to joining C12, Steve owned and led a healthcare management company, growing it from a $2 million business with one location and 25 employees to an organization of 150 employees across five locations and annual revenue of nearly $20 million. Under his leadership, the company also achieved a 95% employee engagement score, reflecting his commitment to building a healthy organizational culture and developing the people within it.

Throughout his career, Steve has worked across industries including healthcare, technology, manufacturing, retail and nonprofit organizations, advising leaders on strategy, organizational growth, people and culture, and leadership development.

Steve’s own experience as a C12 member helped shape his understanding of business as ministry. During a particularly challenging season of his professional and personal life, the counsel, accountability and support of his C12 peers helped him reconsider what success and purpose truly meant. That experience ultimately led him to pursue a new calling as a C12 Chair.

Today, Steve is passionate about building a transformational community of Christian business leaders who are committed to growing exceptional businesses while making a meaningful impact on their employees, families and communities. He believes that business provides a powerful opportunity to serve others, develop leaders and advance God’s Kingdom.

Beyond C12, Steve serves as a volunteer staff leader with Marked Men for Christ, a global Christian ministry. He is also passionate about marriage mentoring and helping couples build strong, flourishing relationships.

Steve lives in Palm Beach Gardens with his wife, Christina, and they have two adult children.

Luke Laffin

Associate Chair

Luke Laffin brings more than 30 years of experience in business leadership, entrepreneurship, executive coaching and Christian ministry to his role as Associate Chair of C12 South Florida.

Luke began his career in pastoral ministry before founding a successful web development business in 1997. He later moved into healthcare consulting and executive leadership, working with major healthcare organizations across the United States, including Stanford Health Care and Sutter Health. His experience spans strategic planning, organizational development, leading multidisciplinary teams and helping businesses navigate complex challenges.

Throughout his career, Luke has remained committed to integrating his faith with his professional life. Having personally experienced the isolation that Christian leaders can feel in the marketplace, he understands the importance of surrounding oneself with like-minded peers who offer encouragement, accountability and practical wisdom.

An ordained marketplace minister and certified leadership coach, Luke has also served in pastoral leadership, international ministry and nonprofit organizations. His passion lies in helping leaders recognize their potential, overcome challenges and fulfill their God-given purpose.

Luke was drawn to C12 through his shared vision with Principal Chair Steve Sargent and a belief in the power of Christian community. He is particularly enthusiastic about bringing business leaders together to share their experiences, support one another and pursue excellence in both business and faith.

Now based in West Palm Beach, Luke is a father of five and grandfather of eleven. Outside work and ministry, he enjoys scuba diving and golf, two pursuits he is looking forward to spending more time on in South Florida.
